Warmblood Early Education / Starting Under Saddle:
$130 + GST per day
includes feed and daily education. Additional services charged separately eg. outings, farrier etc.
Re-Education
For horses previously started under saddle elsewhere or those that have been away from Riverrock for more than 6 months who require behavioural correction:
$150 + GST per day until the issue is resolved, then reverting to the standard training or pre-training rate.

Whether you want your horse started under saddle or a few issues ironed out, we can provide your horse with a well round education.
We take our horses out hacking, ride them in the arena and usually take them to Cambridge training track before they go into work with their trainers/riders. This way they have been on and off the truck a number of times and have seen a lot before they leave.
Having previously been a jockey also has its advantages, as Chad knows how to best educate young horses in the gates, to ensure they jump out correctly. He is also able to ride them at the trials if need be which is a real asset.
READY TO RUN SALES PREPARATION
February - November 2026
$3,985 + GST per month for horses completing their entire early education, agistment, and preparation with us from start to finish.
fee includes agistment, breaking-in, sales preparation/ training fees, feed, supplements, (excluding vet prescribed), rug-hire, farrier, track fees, transport to the track, breeze-up costs, sales and marketing fees.
Excludes vet and chiropractor/physio charges, sales entries, flights, insurance and sales commissions and transportation over and above that required to go to the track.
$102 + GST per day for horses not completing the full preparation with us.
All additional charges billed seperately
2.5% commission for all horses sold in our draft.
Chad has selected and prepared horses for the Ready to Run Sales for a number of years and has achieved great results.
He utilises his eye for selection and skills as a trainer and jockey to prepare the horses and ensure they perform the best they are capable of. Being able to also ride the horses during their preparations and at the breeze-ups is a real advantage, as it means your horse will have the best chance of breezing up impressively to achieve the best price in the ring.

includes the vitamin & mineral supplements and racing syrup
If you want your horse to be brought back into work or have a change of scenery for a freshen up during a campaign, we have all of the facilities to deliver just this for you.
We take into account your needs and pride ourselves on providing a professional service that ensures your horse returns to you well conditioned, at the fitness level required.
TRAINING
$102 + GST per day
In his short training career Chad has already trained well over a 100 winners including a number at Group and Listed level. Some of the highlights include preparing the 2024 New Zealand Oaks and Lowland Stakes winner, Pulchritudinous as well as Concorde Handicap winner, Master Fay. Chad also prepared Wellington Cup winners Graphic and Mr Impatience and Waikato Times Gold Cup winner Surpass.
Chad is a skilled and passionate trainer known for his exceptional horsemanship. Hands-on and deeply involved, he rides and works closely with each horse, ensuring they reach their full potential.

HORSE SELECTION
5% of purchase price
Chad has developed an impressive record in a short period in purchasing pin-hook horses and racehorses. He has a great feel and knows what a good horse feels like having trained a number of group and listed winners and as a jockey riding horses such as Ocean Park. So an added bonus is if need be, Chad can also get a feel for a horses way of going from aboard.
Chad’s more than happy to either provide you with his short list, give you his view on a horse your looking to purchase, help you to purchase a horse to pin-hook or racehorse. All you need to do is get in touch and Chad will make a plan from there with you.
AGISTMENT
Paddock $36 + GST per day
Box $58 + GST per day
We also offer premium long or short-term spelling. Whether your horse needs a quick break in-between being broken-in, between campaigns or before they fly overseas we can ensure your valuable asset is well taken care of.
We can either box your horse or turn them out in our paddocks which are all fenced with the state of the art Magnum horse rail to ensure optimal safety.
Each horse is put on a specialist diet and we feed only the best to ensure your horse looks and feels its best after its break.
